常书杰，北京市房山城关羊头岗村人，出生于1948年，酷爱油画山水，作品曾得到（国画）林楷、（油画）张祖英老师亲临指导，現任：华夏邦交（国礼）研究院邦交国礼书画院副院长，多家藝術機構研究員、一級、高級美術師、理事、常務理事。1974年参加北京市房山县，宣传站革命领导小组美术学习班年画创作。1995年10月15日，由中央美术学院教授、中国美术馆研究部主任、中国书画主编等发起中日友好活动，两幅山水油画，日本村上美术馆收藏。2001年12月参加由中国文联等单位联合主办的，二十一世纪首届中国书画艺术精品大展油画《家乡》荣获银奖。中國文聯等單位舉辦中國奥林匹克書畫藝術競賽，二十一世紀首届書畫精品大展獲銀獎。2002年多幅作品入選《中國寫生作品集》被評為優秀藝術家。2003年多幅入選北京盛世軒書畫研究院《中華書畫寶典》獲銀獎。2004年人民日報市場信息中心藝術名家“金杯”獎獲特别金獎。2004年入編新華社《了望周刊》海外專刊大型藝術形象宣傳特輯中華脊梁--共和國文化藝術家風采。入編文化部《中華名人大典》，由中國國際交流出版社陸社長特别提名推薦的世界華人交流協會《世界名人録》。李鵬等黨和國家領導題詞《中國專家名人詞典》、中共中央黨校主編《市縣領導月刊》、中央文獻研究室，中共黨史人物研究會等編輯《歷史回眸》、《共和国改革精英》及《易学名师录》、入編中華人民共和國國史學會大型系列畫册《當代中國人中國當代創新人才》、《中华百家姓氏通鉴》。人民日報市場信息中心、中國文聯--中國藝術報、今日中國書畫、京郊日報等刊登發表。2004年5月荣获人民日报市场信息中心举办的《全国艺术名家金杯奖》特别金奖。2004年由中國新聞文化促進會、時代前沿文化發展中心特邀于6月27日-7月1日于人民大會堂國務院二招、參加召開“輝煌的時代”--中國杰出創業人才座談會。
